MEDICAL RESCUE — FIRST-CYCLE STUDIES

FIELD DESCRIPTION
Medical rescue is a field of study that equips students with the knowledge and skills required to provide professional emergency care aimed at saving lives and protecting health in cases of sudden accidents or acute medical conditions. The program focuses on developing specialist competencies in emergency medical services, emergency medicine, and other medical sciences relevant to managing patients in life-threatening situations.

BACHELOR'S DEGREE STUDIES
Throughout the first-cycle program, students gain the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to save lives at the scene of an incident, during patient transport, and in emergency departments. The studies prepare graduates to work in public and private healthcare facilities, including hospital emergency departments, EMS teams, specialist rescue services, fire brigades, and other emergency response units.
The university places strong emphasis on modern teaching methods that reflect current requirements for paramedics, as well as the needs of society and the healthcare system in Poland.
DURATION
3-year Bachelor’s program (6 semesters) — full-time and part-time (weekend) studies
LOCATION
Katowice / Zabrze - applicants may choose their preferred study location*
*A group is launched provided that at least 30 students enroll in the selected location.
GRADUATE PROFILE
Graduates of the Medical rescue program are able to plan and perform life-saving procedures appropriately and in accordance with the correct sequence of actions for the given type of emergency. They can identify risk factors, mechanisms, and the scope of threats in all types of accidents and disasters. Graduates are prepared to work effectively within rescue teams and therapeutic medical teams.
