FIELD DESCRIPTION

Nursing is an essential and highly sought-after profession in today’s job market.
Studies in this field provide the opportunity to obtain one of the most universal and versatile medical professions. Throughout the program, students acquire the competencies necessary for providing professional nursing care and learn to apply up-to-date medical knowledge to ensure safety and high standards of care. They are trained to deliver services related to health promotion, disease prevention, and comprehensive care for patients who are ill or disabled. Practical skills are taught by qualified academic staff with extensive clinical experience.

MASTER'S DEGREE STUDIES

The second-cycle Nursing program focuses on developing advanced expertise in nursing and related medical sciences, with particular emphasis on:

  • monitoring patients’ health status,
  • implementing health promotion and preventive measures within healthy populations,
  • understanding standards for delivering advanced and independent nursing services.

The program prepares students to conduct scientific research, apply research findings in clinical practice, implement evidence-based medicine (EBM), and plan their own professional development.

2-year Master’s studies (4 semesters) - full-time and part-time (weekend) programs

GRADUATE PROFILE

A graduate of the second-cycle Nursing program is prepared to confidently enter the job market with the ability to monitor the health status of all patient groups and solve professional challenges, particularly those requiring decision-making in difficult or demanding clinical situations. The graduate demonstrates knowledge of managing nursing teams and healthcare organizations. They are also equipped to conduct broad-based health promotion and health education activities, including the planning, implementation, and evaluation of health programs.
