Venice Biennale Lab 2025 – Summer School “Designing Change”
We are pleased to announce that a teaching project delivered as part of the course “Urban Regeneration” at the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Applied Arts of the Academy of Silesia has been selected to participate in the Venice Biennale Lab 2025 – Summer School “Designing Change”, organized by AIT-Dialog and the Sto Foundation.
From more than 30 submissions from across Europe, the jury selected 10 universities whose projects best reflected the main theme of this year’s Venice Architecture Biennale, “Designing Change.” Among the selected institutions, the Silesian Academy joins universities such as Aalto University, KU Leuven, and The Royal Danish Academy.
The Summer School will take place on 8–12 October 2025 and will provide an opportunity for international exchange of experience related to contemporary urban challenges.
The selected teaching project, led by Dr Eng. Arch. Sandra Przepiórkowska, focuses on the transformation of degraded areas in the Upper Silesia region. Students of the 8th semester of the undergraduate engineering program analyze selected sites and develop original regeneration strategies based on the principles of the circular economy.
Congratulations!
