The Academy of Silesia Library in Katowice cooperates, within the framework of publication exchange, among others, with the Library of Congress of the United States, the Library of the Silesian University of Technology, the Library of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, the Library of Kraków University of Technology, the Library of Warsaw University of Technology, the Library of Gdańsk University of Technology, the Library of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, the Library of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, and the Library of the Lower Silesian University in Wrocław.
The Library holds continuously expanding collections covering fields related to the study programs offered by the Academy of Silesia.

- Users wishing to consult rare or valuable items are invited to use the reading room.
- The Library also provides domestic and international journals, as well as archival periodicals, for on-site use.
- In the multimedia reading room, users may access scientific databases and academic journals (made available under academic licences granted by publishers to higher education institutions and research organisations entitled, under the Act on the principles of financing science, to receive funding from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education), as well as the Internet.
